It's Baby Santa!!!
Why do grown ups insist on dressing up our pets and babies? Perhaps because they're so defenseless they can't protest and even if they do by giving you that look of, "Mom, why are you doing this to me? Can't you tell I'm embarassed? You aren't planning on showing this to anyone, are you?" we just ignore it and say, "Oh, they just have to get used to it. They won't remember." Having a baby has showed us just how much people enjoy the idea of dressing up babies to make them look like miniature versions of whatever is in season. For example, we have received 2 outfits now, one santa and one Rudolf addressed to baby Nicolas. One was from my mom's friends who we still have not gotten to meet and the other was mysteriously left on my desk at work with a tag reading, "To: Nicolas From: Rudolf." It's still a mystery to this day. So, we've jumped on the bandwagon. Our first project was to take Nicolas' Christmas pictures in his santa outfit. We have posted some of those along with what we presume to be his thoughts. The Rudolf hat was fashionably worn to a Christmas party. Yeah, he digs it. Can you tell????

Why are we doing this???
Do these bite?
Peace to you and yours!
Mom, we've already taken 50 pictures!

That's gold!
Christmas parties can be exhausting!

Christmas at the Mill
As most of you probably already know, Jeff works as the Director of Life Groups for Collegelife (Denton Bible Church). It is a college ministry with over 350 student volunteers. On December 1, the Collegelife staff along with many of these volunteers hosted an event called "Christmas at the Mill." It might not even be fit to call it an event as it was a holiday celebration in which all the neighborhoods surrounding the church were invited to partake in a holiday meal and where there were games and toys galore provided for the children. We had around 1,400 people from the community attend and it was truly amazing! Most of the food and toys were donated by our own congregation and the Mill was transformed into a winter wonderland. We truly believe that this event blessed the community and opened doors to conversations with people that maybe were not there before. I posted a picture above of Nicolas with our student Santa volunteer. This is just a glimpse of what our students put together. If you want to see more pics, check out the Collegelife website and click on the bottom left hand corner of Community Christmas at the Mill marquis.
